There are 2 major varieties of cotton fabric: combed cotton and carded cotton. On touch, you can
note that combed cotton fabrics are softer to touch than carded ones. Combed cotton are twisting
smooth, even and thinner fibers together to produce a smooth thread. While carded cotton is
produced through a mixture of short, thick and ragged cotton fibers. The coarse feel of carded
cotton makes the fabric’s quality inferior than combed cotton.
